Intramolecular free radical reactions of sugar derivatives

Abstract: The review deals with the free radical reactions of sugar derivatives which give rise lo mono-, di-, and three-C-branched sugar derivatives: chiral tetrahydrofuranes, C-glycosides, cyclopentanes, and cyclohexanes, important intermediates for the stereocontrolled synthesis of several classes of natural compounds.
