Abstract: Three pheromone components were found in gland washes of the Archips crataegana females by capillary GC and GC-MS methods. They were identified as (Z)-11-tetradecen-l-ol acetate (I), (Z)-9-tetradecen-1-ol acetate (II) and (Z)-11l-tetradecen-1-ol (III) in the ratio 18:7,5:1. Field tests demonstrated that a mixture, containing 68% (I), 28% (II) and 4% (III), attracted the Archips crataegana males.
