Potential ability of temporary groups in peptide chemistry

Abstract: Some properties of protecting and activating groups in peptide chemistry (multifunctionality, types of chemical bonds, controlled reactivity, new transient group formation via modification of known groups) have been reviewed. These approaches allow to broaden the variety of transient groups in peptide chemistry and in other branches of bioorganic chemistry.
