Quarternary structure and properties of (5-glucosidase isolated from a thermophilic culture of Aspergillus wentii

Abstract: A method of purification of an extracellular β-glucosidase from thermophilic micro-mycete Aspergillus wentii to the homogeneous state has been developed. The molecular mass of the enzyme, optimal conditions and kinetic parameters of cellobiose hydrolysis have been determined. The enzyme thermostability has been studied, thermodynamic parameters estimated and the mechanism of thermoinactivation suggested.
