The nature of the post-translation modification of the common species-specific outer membrane protein of Rickettsia prowazekii

Abstract: The major outer membrane protein of Rickettsia prowazekii strain Brainl is revealed to contain residues of N^ε-methyllysine, N^ε-trimethyllysine, as well as monomothylamide groups probably belonging to asparagine or (and) glutamine residues.
